Last summer, I was pleased to meet Mr. Deleep Anair and his lovely wife, Amber. We discussed the importance of maintaining good physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. At this moment, Deleep shared with me about Flotation Therapy and how this application can help keep these health aspects. Flotation therapy is a new concept for me.
So, I asked Deleep to tell me more about how he and Amber launched their franchise in Flotation Therapy. Deleep mentioned that they had the opportunity to attend a TrueREST float spa in Sedona, Arizona, five years ago. After trying the flotation therapies, he said, “Their minds and bodies were so relaxed, and they felt they could truly get into a profound meditative state.
We had a phenomenal experience that night, and both had a great night of sleep.” So Nair’s experiences compelled them to do some preliminary research, reach out to the franchising vice president, and learn more about opening a location in the DMV area. While TrueREST has approximately 70 locations throughout the Country and Canada, their franchise is the first in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV).
Being in the biotechnology health management area, this concept and application intrigued me. The Nair’s TrueRest spa is opening towards the end of August 2023. Their spa “will enable customers to book 60-minute floating sessions in pods containing 10 inches of water with 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt.” Their new TrueRest location is a former BB&T bank, and the interior will be quiet and peaceful.
According to Nair, floatation therapy has mental and physical health benefits, including reduced muscle tension and pain, improved joint mobility, lowered blood pressure, enhanced athletic performance, and increased circulation. Flotation Therapy relaxation techniques and napping are viral strategies among high-profile athletes recovering from the demands of training and competition.

TruREST does not accept health insurance. However, you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) to pay for therapies to treat a specific medical condition.
