
Arthritis Foundationās Initiative: Understanding Symptoms of Gout and Treatment Education for Inclusive Communities
The “Living Life Gout Free” event, hosted on December 30, 2025, in Florissant, Missouri, was a resounding success, bringing together seniors, community members, and health advocates for an afternoon of education, empowerment, and connection. This initiative, part of the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to reach inclusive communities with critical health information, highlighted the importance of managing gout and improving overall well-being by better understanding the symptoms of Gout and how to best treat the condition.
Educational Luncheon and Expert Insights
The event featured an engaging presentation by Dr. Frederick Echols, a renowned public health expert. Dr. Echols provided actionable insights into gout management, including understanding triggers, making sustainable dietary and lifestyle adjustments, and developing long-term wellness strategies. His ability to translate complex medical concepts into practical advice resonated deeply with attendees, empowering them to take control of their health.




Community Collaboration and Support
The event was made possible through the collaboration of key organizations:
- The Arthritis Foundation, a leader in arthritis education and advocacy, underscored the importance of knowledge in managing gout effectively.
- At Home Care, a trusted provider of home care services, emphasized the role of accessible support in maintaining independence and quality of life.

Special thanks to the food preparers on an excellent meal and Pope John Paul II Apartments in Florissant for providing such an excellent space and galvanizing it’s residents to attend.
