Another week is in the books. Now, Week 8 is here, and as always, teams are ready to compete. Let’s get straight into Week 8 and what to expect.
Minnesota Vikings vs Los Angeles Rams (Vikings -3) – The Minnesota Vikings lost their first game of the season in their last game. The Detroit Lions, a division rival, beat them 31-29. It was a good game that simply came down to Detroit making a field goal and winning the game. The Vikings have a chance to bounce back this week as they take on the Los Angeles Rams. The Los Angeles Rams are 2-4 after winning their last game. They beat the Las Vegas Raiders 20-15. The Rams are at the bottom of the NFC West, but a win here puts them at 3-4, which is the same as fellow NFC West teams in the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers. This will not be an easy game for the Rams, and the Vikings should improve to 6-1.
Prediction: The Vikings win
Green Bay Packers vs Jacksonville Jaguars (Packers -4) – The Green Bay Packers are 5-2, and find themselves on a three-game winning streak. They beat the Houston Texans in their last game, and before that they beat the Rams and Cardinals. Their win over the Texans was another game that came down to a field goal. The Packers are playing well, and this week they can keep their streak going. The Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-5, as they picked up their second win in their last game. They beat the New England Patriots. They have a tougher task this week, and chances are the Packers take this game.
Prediction: The Packers win
Arizona Cardinals vs Miami Dolphins (Dolphins -3.5) – The Arizona Cardinals are 3-4 after winning their last game. They beat the Chargers 17-15 in another game that came down to a field goal. The Cardinals have a chance to become .500 with a win over a struggling team. The Miami Dolphins are 2-4. They lost to the Indianapolis Colts. Before that, they picked up their second win of the season, as they beat the Patriots. The Dolphins are still trying to figure out their quarterback situation. They brought in C.J. Beathard, which makes him the fifth quarterback on their roster. The Dolphins are in a tough space, and the Cardinals may have a shot at getting the win.
Prediction: The Cardinals win
New York Jets vs New England Patriots (Jets -7) – The New York Jets are having a tough time. They are 2-5 and are on a four-game losing streak. Their last loss was against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jets have a chance to snap their losing streak against another struggling team. The New England Patriots are 1-6 and are on a six-game losing streak. Drake Maye had a nice showing in their last game, so that is one thing they have going for them. However, their losing streak may continue.
Prediction: The Jets win
Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns (Ravens -9) – The Baltimore Ravens are back. They are on a five-game winning streak after losing their first two games. The Ravens are beating the teams they are supposed to, and this week will be another example. The Ravens take on a division rival in the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are 1-6 and are on a five-game losing streak. They lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game, and in that game, they received some bad news. Deshaun Watson suffered an Achilles injury and will miss the rest of the season. Jameis Winston is going to start this week, as their other quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has a finger injury. The Browns are in a tough spot, and as they take on an exceptional team, their losing streak will continue.
Prediction: The Ravens win
Philadelphia Eagles vs Cincinnati Bengals (Bengals -2) – The Philadelphia Eagles are 4-2 and are on a two-game winning streak. They beat the Browns and the New York Giants. This week, they face a team who recently picked up their third win. The Bengals are now 3-4 after struggling to get their first win. They beat the Giants and Browns in their last two. The Bengals are doing well as of late, and they could get another win. But the Eagles should take it.
Prediction: The Eagles win
Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans (Texans -5) – The Indianapolis Colts are 4-3 after winning their last two games. They beat the Tennessee Titans and the Dolphins. They have a tougher opponent this week as they take on the leader of their division. The Texans are 5-2 after losing their last game. The Packers beat them in a close one. Houston beat Indianapolis earlier this season. They beat them 29-27. The Colts could get revenge, but the Texans should take it.
Prediction: The Texans win
Tennessee Titans vs Detroit Lions (Lions -11.5) – The Tennessee Titans are 1-5 and are on a two-game losing streak after losing to the Colts and the Buffalo Bills. They have a challenging game ahead of them as they take on the Lions. The Lions beat the Vikings in their last game, and have played really well this season. And this game should be no exception.
Prediction: The Lions win
Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Falcons -2.5) – The Atlanta Falcons are the top team in the NFC South. They lost to the Seahawks in their last game. This game is a chance for the Falcons to create some separation between them and a division rival. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their last game. The Ravens beat them 41-31. This game between division rivals could be a good one, but the Falcons will do enough to win.
Prediction: The Falcons win
New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Chargers (Chargers -7.5) – The New Orleans Saints are 2-5. They are also on a five-game losing streak. After starting the season well, they are having a hard time getting wins. They could snap their losing streak this week. The Chargers are 3-3 after losing their last game. They lost to the Cardinals. This is an opportunity to bounce back from the loss.
Prediction: The Chargers win
Buffalo Bills vs Seattle Seahawks (Bills -3) – The Buffalo Bills are on top of the AFC East. They are on a two-game winning streak, as they beat the Jets and the Titans. The Bills can keep their strong season going with a win this week. The Seahawks are solid this year. They are 4-3 and find themselves on top of the NFC West. This will be a good game, but the Bills will win.
Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders (Bears -2.5) – The Chicago Bears are 4-2, and are on a three-game winning streak. The Bears are last in their division, which says a lot about how well the NFC North is playing. The Bears have beat the Rams, Panthers and Jaguars in their last three games. The Commanders are turning heads this season. They are 5-2 and are on top of the NFC East. Their rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has played well, but he recently suffered an injury and missed Wednesday’s practice. This game was the matchup between the top two picks of the 2024 NFL draft. But if Daniels misses, that will have to wait.
Prediction: The Bears win
Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders (Chiefs -10) – The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated. They are 6-0 so far. They are playing like champions, and they recently made a move that makes them even better. They acquired DeAndre Hopkins. The Chiefs are the team to beat this year, and this game is a chance to remain undefeated. The Raiders are 2-5. They have lost their last three games. This week, they will likely lose this one as well.
Prediction: The Chiefs win
Carolina Panthers vs Denver Broncos (Broncos -10) – The Carolina Panthers are 1-6. They are on a four-game losing streak, losing to teams such as the Commanders and the Falcons. They face a team who is having a decent season. The Broncos are 4-3 and won their last game. Without saying too much, they should have no problem winning again this week.
Prediction: The Broncos win
Dallas Cowboys vs San Francisco 49ers (49ers -4) – The Dallas Cowboys are 3-3, and have had their share of ups and downs this season. They lost big in their last game and are looking to recover. But it will not be easy. The 49ers are 3-4, and lost to a familiar foe in their last game. The Chiefs beat them 28-18. The 49ers can bounce back from the loss with a win over the Cowboys. And they just might do that.

New York Giants vs Pittsburgh Steelers (Steelers -6.5) – The New York Giants are 2-5 and are on a two-game losing streak. This week, they face a team who are 5-2 and had an impressive return in their last game. The Steelers beat the Jets recently, and this game was the return of Russell Wilson. Wilson had a strong performance and proved that he still has something left in the tank. It was a good win for Wilson and the Steelers, and if if he has a similar game this week, the Steelers should have no problems getting the win
