More than 200 families gathered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis’ Herbert Hoover Club on Friday evening for a heartwarming Thanksgiving turkey giveaway. The event, sponsored by NFL players and former Club members Jameson and Isaiah Williams, brought holiday cheer and much-needed support to the community. Held at the Club’s location at 2901 N. Grand Blvd., the giveaway was a testament to the players’ enduring connection to their hometown and the Club that helped shape their journeys.

Although Jameson and Isaiah, both deep into their NFL seasons, were unable to attend in person, their parents and a dedicated team of volunteers ensured the event was a success. Families left with not only a free Thanksgiving turkey but also a sense of pride and gratitude for the players’ continued commitment to giving back.

The Williams brothers’ story is one of inspiration and community impact. Both Jameson and Isaiah grew up as members of the Herbert Hoover Club, where their athletic talents were first recognized. “Jameson and Isaiah were talented athletes as young kids,” said Club Director Reggie Jones. “They won gold medals when they were seven and eight years old. They just crushed the competition wherever they went.”

While the two are not related, their shared last name and shared passion for their community have made them a dynamic duo in giving back. Jameson, now an established NFL standout, frequently returns to the Herbert Hoover Club to host youth football clinics, inspiring the next generation of athletes. For Isaiah, this Thanksgiving event marked a significant milestone in his first year in the NFL, as he began his journey of giving back to the community that supported him.

The event was more than just a turkey giveaway—it was a celebration of the powerful impact of former Boys & Girls Club members who return to uplift the neighborhoods that shaped them. “This is what it’s all about,” said one volunteer. “Seeing these young men come back and give to the community is inspiring. It shows the kids here today that they can achieve great things too.”

The Williams brothers’ generosity brought joy and relief to hundreds of local families, ensuring that their Thanksgiving tables were full and their hearts were warm. Their efforts serve as a reminder of the lasting bond between the Boys & Girls Clubs and the individuals it helps nurture into leaders, athletes, and community champions.
