Using “publicly available” data doesn’t mean it’s consented. Relying on such data accrues consent debt, turning high-performing features into liabilities when norms or regulations tighten.

Actionable Tip: Adopt consent-aware feature flags to track signals based on consent strength. Favor features aligned with customer expectations and transparency.
