This is a special week in the NFL, as we celebrate the holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone out there, and while spending time with family, take some time to enjoy some sports. The NFL regular season is winding down and there are some good matchups left before the playoffs. Here is what to expect from Week 17.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Pittsburgh Steelers (Chiefs -2.5) – The Kansas City Chiefs are having a strong season. They are 14-1 and since their loss, they have picked up close wins over the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders and so on. The Chiefs are headed to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. The Steelers are 10-5 after losing their last two games. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens. They have a tough task ahead of them as they look to hand Kansas City their second loss. This could be a good, close game, but the Chiefs will likely get the win.
Prediction: The Chiefs win
Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans (Ravens -5.5) – The Baltimore Ravens defeated a divisional rival in their last game, as they beat the Steelers 34-17. Baltimore is now on a two-game winning streak and will travel to Houston to take on the Texans. The Texans remain the top team in the AFC South with a record of 9-6. They lost to the Chiefs. They have another tough opponent this week and despite playing well at home, Baltimore could come to town and pick up a win.
Prediction: The Ravens win
Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears (Seahawks -3.5) – The Seattle Seahawks are second in the NFC West with a record of 8-7. They lost their last two outings as the Green Bay Packers beat them 30-13 and the Minnesota Vikings beat them 27-24. The Seahawks have a chance to snap their losing streak with a win over Chicago. The Bears are 4-11 this season and have lost their last nine games. It has been a long season for Chicago and Seattle will likely add to that. They will be giving them a lump of coal for Christmas.
Prediction: The Seahawks win
Los Angeles Chargers vs New England Patriots (Chargers -4) – The Los Angeles Chargers are second in the AFC West behind Kansas City. The Chargers picked up a win over the Denver Broncos in their last game and now, they take on a team that has struggled throughout the season. The New England Patriots 3-12 and are on a five-game losing streak. They are also 1-5 at home. If a Christmas miracle happens, they could get this win. If not, the Chargers will take this.
Prediction: The Chargers win
Denver Broncos vs Cincinnati Bengals (Bengals -3) – The Denver Broncos are 9-6 this season after losing to the Chargers (a division rival). Denver is heading to Ohio to take on a team looking to become .500. The Cincinnati Bengals are 7-8 this season after winning their last three games. They beat the Dallas Cowboys, the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns. However, the Bengals are not a great team at home. They are 2-7 at home and 5-3 on the road. This is a chance to improve their home record even if it is not by much.
Prediction: The Bengals win
Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams (Rams -6.5) – The Arizona Cardinals are 7-8 after losing to the Carolina Panthers in overtime. They have a chance to bounce back from that loss as they travel to Los Angeles. But it will not be easy. The Rams are the top team in the NFC West (the Cardinals are third). They have a record of 9-6 and are on a four-game winning streak. The Rams are a decent team at home and have a chance to keep their streak alive.
Prediction: The Rams win
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles (Eagles -9.5) – The Dallas Cowboys are working their way towards .500 after winning their last two games. They beat the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cowboys are a solid team on the road as they have an away record of 5-2. They are finding a rhythm but face a team out for revenge. The Philadelphia Eagles had their impressive winning streak snapped by the Washington Commanders. The Commanders won 36-33. Jalen Hurts saw little action in this game as he went into concussion protocol. The Eagles lost but have a chance to bounce back with a win.
Prediction: The Eagles win
Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Buccaneers -8) – The Carolina Panthers won their last game, which gives them a record of 4-11. They beat the Cardinals. This week, they have a tougher opponent in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are 8-7 after losing to the Cowboys. Their next two games are against struggling opponents which could help them end their regular season on an even better note. The Panthers did well in their win, but this week could be different.
Prediction: The Buccaneers win
New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills (Bills -10) – Things have not been easy for the New York Jets are 4-11 and after picking up a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, they lost to the Rams. The Jets take on a fellow New York team that has been strong all season. The Buffalo Bills are 12-3 and are on a two-game winning streak. They beat the Detroit Lions in a battle and then they beat the New England Patriots. Without saying too much, the Bills should have no issue winning this one.
Prediction: The Bills win
Indianapolis Colts vs New York Giants (Colts -8) – The Indianapolis Colts are 7-8 after beating the Titans. They travel to New York to take on the Giants. The Giants are on a 10-game losing streak and have a record of 2-13. Things have not been great for the Giants and this week will be no exception.
Prediction: The Colts win
Las Vegas Raiders vs New Orleans Saints (Raiders -1) – The Las Vegas Raiders are 3-12 after picking up a win over the Jaguars. They are facing another under .500 as they take on the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are 5-10 after losing 34-0 to the Packers. They are doing better than they were during their seven-game losing streak and they may have a shot at getting a win here.
Prediction: The Saints win
Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars (Jaguars -1) – When it comes to this game, both teams are 3-12 and are on losing streaks. They are also division rivals. This game will simply come down to who wants it more.
Prediction: The Jaguars win
Miami Dolphins vs Cleveland Browns (Dolphins -6.5) – The Miami Dolphins are 7-8 after beating the San Francisco 49ers in their last game. Despite a 2-5 record on the road, the Dolphins have a chance to pick up a road win as they head to Cleveland. The Cleveland Browns are 3-12 and are on a four-game losing streak. They decided to make another quarterback change in their last game by starting Dorian Thompson-Robinson. They ended up losing the game 24-6. This will likely be another loss for the Browns and Miami will improve to 8-8.
Prediction: The Dolphins win
Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings (Vikings -1) – The Green Bay Packers are 11-4 and have won their last two games. They beat the Seahawks and the Saints. They take on one of the hottest teams in the league in Minnesota. The Vikings are on an eight-game winning streak with their last being over Seattle. The Vikings are 7-1 at home and as well as their NFC North rival is doing, Minnesota can keep their streak going.
Prediction: The Vikings win
Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Commanders (Commanders -4) – The Atlanta Falcons are 8-7 and are on a two-game winning streak. They take on the team that beat the Eagles in their last game. The Washington Commanders are 10-5 and are on a three-game winning streak. They are led by their rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has had a fantastic season. The Commanders have been a surprise and this week is another chance to pick up a win.
Prediction: The Commanders win
Detroit Lions vs San Francisco 49ers (Lions -3.5) – The Detroit Lions have been a strong team all year and after losing their second game, they recovered with a win over Chicago. They head to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. The 49ers are 6-9 and are on a two-game losing streak after losing to the Rams and the Dolphins. The Lions are roaring and will pick up a win here.
Prediction: The Lions win
