Discover the exciting return of the St. Louis Legends Games in 2026, a cherished active aging tradition formerly known as the St. Louis Senior Olympics, hosted by the Jewish Community Center.

St. Louis Senior Olympics Rebrands as St. Louis Legends Games for 2026

One of the region’s longest-running active aging traditions is entering a new chapter. After decades as the St. Louis Senior Olympics, the Jewish Community Center (The J)’s signature community sports event will return in 2026 as the St. Louis Legends Games.

The rebrand reflects a shift in how adults age 50 and older see themselves and removes language that no longer resonates with many participants.

“People in their fifties and beyond are active, working, and engaged,” said Stephanie Rhea, St. Louis Legends Games Coordinator at the J. “The Legends Games celebrate lifelong, healthy, active living and the power of community.” Rhea also noted that the new name reflects a broader, more inclusive vision of active aging and community.

Each year, the event brings together hundreds of athletes from across the St. Louis region, offering competitive, recreational, and social opportunities designed to support wellness at a wide range of ability levels.

The St. Louis Legends Games name and visual identity retain a sense of tradition while introducing a modern, distinctly St. Louis look. The brand incorporates elements inspired by the Gateway Arch and the region’s strong sports culture, signaling both pride and accessibility.

Events will take place May 16 through May 31, 2026, at locations throughout the St. Louis area. Registration opens March 2, with event specific deadlines and capacity limits. Matrix Midwest is the presenting sponsor of the St. Louis Legends Games.
