Mental Health has been an ongoing struggle for many in the black community. Conversations are always in motion about how to tackle this problem.

This time, two prominent figures brought their issues into the spotlight. Master P and his son Romeo were the topics of discussion in the Entertainment industry this past weekend as they exchanged verbal jabs at each other on social media.

On Friday, Romeo called out his father, blaming the death of his sister, Tytyana Miller, on his father for ignoring her struggles with mental health. After sharing a poem on Instagram titled “The Tree of Trauma” Romeo stated.

â€œToday was a boiling point. I saw a man avoid his own children’s struggle with suicide and depression but post another man who passed today that he doesn’t even know. Yall idols be lost. Better stop following the blind. Watch when it’s revealed.”

After feeling attacked, Master P responded two days later, addressing his son Romeo and the new generation of kids” for “blaming their parents for everything. Master P stated, “How do they think they got to where they are without their parents making sacrifices for them? Mental illness is real and so many families are tragically affected by it especially when there is added trauma like the death of a loved one.”

“Son, I love you. Stop trying to get people to feel sorry for you. And let’s come up with a solution,” he finished by saying. “You can come talk to your father and your family, like a man, you have kids too. No family is perfect but together with God, we can heal and get through this.

Everything seemed to calm down until Romeo snapped the olive branch in half that his dad offered. Instead, Romeo has released another round of receipts that paint his dad as a man who is just money hungry. Romeo accused Master P of never paying any earnings from the family “Rap Snacks” brand
claiming to have blindly supported the company for 15+ years for a payoff that didn’t come.

It’s always sad to see our black celebrities feuding, especially in family quarrels. They say there are three sides to every story. Both participants’ side and the truth. I guess we will see how this all unfolds.
