Founder/CEO Roz McCarthy of Black Buddha Cannabis & Minorities for Medical Marijuana is making her mark in the cannabis industry.
Roz McCarthy is becoming a powerful figure in the cannabis industry. Before soaring to the top with her business ventures, Roz worked in management, marketing, and business development in the healthcare industry.
Many call her a born leader with a high level of tenacity, passion, and a vision to pull the best out of everything around her. With cannabis being legalized across the United States, McCarthy has jumped to the forefront of the business by becoming the founder of two important startups.
The first one is Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) which she launched in 2016. This startup is now the largest community-based national nonprofit organization serving communities of color as it relates to the cannabis and hemp industry.
McCarthy launched her new company last year in 2021, teaming up with actor Malik Yoba to create “Black Buddha Cannabis.” This new start-up is an environmentally conscious, socially impact-driven wellness brand providing proprietary products to the legalized global market.
Recently Roz McCarthy was recognized as part of The Worthy 100 alongside other heavyweights such as Amal Clooney, Warren Buffett, David Attenborough, Michael Bloomberg, Liz Cheney, and Larry Fitzgerald. McCarthy was acknowledged for The Worthy 100 because of her mission to be a non-profit outreach program with “social, political, healthcare and business aspects of the industry.
Roz has opened 25 chapters throughout the states. The chapters are seeking to keep minorities educated on the opportunities and realities of the cannabis industry. McCarthy is constantly looking to expand her brand and increase in identifying market opportunities, launching new products, sales training, and developing promotional programs.
