This 90-minute documentary, six years in the making, tells the incredible story of Annie Turnbo Malone. Known as one of America’s first Black female millionaires, Malone revolutionized the beauty industry and empowered countless women. The film features exclusive interviews with people who knew her personally. It also explores her development of Poro College and its significant impact on The Ville neighborhood in St. Louis.
Malone’s legacy as a beauty mogul and entrepreneur continues to inspire. She created her own line of hair care products and trained Black beauticians to run their own businesses. Her work not only transformed the beauty industry but also uplifted her community.
