The NFL season continues as we enter Week 11. Last week had some good matchups and this week will be no exception. The season is flying by and before you know it, the playoffs will be here. Until then, teams are doing what they can to put themselves in a position to succeed when that time does come. Here is what to expect from this week’s NFL action.
Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles (Eagles -3.5) – The Washington Commanders remain one of the surprises of the season, as they are 7-3 and they are second in the NFC East after being on top for a few weeks. The Commanders lost their last game, as they lost an extremely close one to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, they have a division rival in the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are 7-2 and are the top team in the NFC East. They have reached this point due to their five-game winning streak. Their streak started with the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 13 and they have beaten the New York Giants, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Dallas Cowboys in the process. The Eagles are on fire and are taking on an up and coming team. A win for Washington would be huge, but Philadelphia should get the win.
Prediction: The Eagles win
Las Vegas Raiders vs Miami Dolphins (Dolphins -8) – The Las Vegas Raiders had a week off, but before that, they lost to the Bengals. They beat them 41-24, and handed the Raiders their fifth straight loss. The Raiders are 2-7 in what has been a rough season. They have a chance to stop their losing streak, but the Miami Dolphins stand in their way. The Dolphins are 3-6 and snapped a losing streak with a win over the Los Angeles Rams. Tua Tagovailoa is back in action and has done well since his return. The Dolphins will not have a complete turnaround, but things are looking better than they once were. The Dolphins should pick up a win here, and the losing streak will continue for the Raiders.
Prediction: The Dolphins win
Cleveland Browns vs New Orleans Saints (Saints -1) – The Cleveland Browns had a week off, but before that, they lost to the Chargers. Before that, they picked up an exciting win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns have not had it easy, and this week, they have a chance to pick up a win. The New Orleans Saints won their first game since the win over the Cowboys in their second game of the season. The Saints started 2-0, but lost every game after that. That came to an end after their 20-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Both of these teams have had bad seasons, and this game is up for grabs. However, the Saints may do enough to win.
Prediction: The Saints win
Indianapolis Colts vs New York Jets (Jets -3.5) – The Indianapolis Colts are 4-6 due to their three-game losing streak. They lost to the Houston Texans, then followed up with losses to the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills. The Colts have made some changes in that time, and it was recently announced that Anthony Richardson will be their starting quarterback once again. The Colts have a chance to snap their streak as they take on another struggling team. The New York Jets are 3-7 and lost big to the Arizona Cardinals in their last game. The Cardinals won 31-6. The Jets are in trouble and even after firing their coach, things have not changed. This is a chance for New York to get a win, but the Colts may take it.
Prediction: The Colts win
Minnesota Vikings vs Tennessee Titans (Vikings -6) – The Minnesota Vikings are 7-2, and have had a strong season. They are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Colts and the Jaguars. Before that, they were on a two-game losing streak, as they lost to a division rival (the Detroit Lions) and the Rams. Minnesota, who is 3-1 in road games, has a chance to pick up a nice win in Tennessee. The Tennessee Titans are 2-7 and lost to the Chargers in their last outing. This will not be an easy game for Tennessee, and the Vikings should have no problem getting the win.
Prediction: The Vikings win
Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears (Packers -6) – The Green Bay Packers are having a solid season, despite being third in the NFC North. That division has been impressive all season. In fact, the Packers lost their last game against a division rival. The Lions beat them 24-14. The Packers have another division rival this week as they take on the Chicago Bears. The Bears are 4-5 and are on a three-game losing streak. Their last loss was against the New England Patriots. Overall, this could be a good game, but the Packers will take it.
Prediction: The Packers win
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Detroit Lions (Lions -14) – The Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-8 and are on a three-game losing streak. They have lost to the Packers, the Eagles and more recently, the Vikings. They have a tough task ahead of them as they take on the top team of the NFC North. The Lions are on a roll. They are on a seven-game winning streak that started with the Cardinals. They have beat teams like the Cowboys, the Vikings and the Texans since then. The way Detroit is playing right now, there is little to no chance the Jaguars will be the ones to slow them down.
Prediction: The Lions win
Los Angeles Rams vs New England Patriots (Rams -4.5) – The Los Angeles Rams are one game below .500. They are 4-5 after losing to the Dolphins. The Rams are on the road as they take on the New England Patriots. The Patriots are 3-7 after winning their last game. They beat the Bears. The Patriots are taking on a team that is 1-3 in road games, but could improve to 2-3 after this game.
Prediction: The Rams win
Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers (Ravens -3) – The Baltimore Ravens are 7-3 and are on a two-game winning streak. They beat the Broncos and the Bengals. Their win over the Bengals was extremely close. The Ravens are playing well and they have a chance to get a win over the top team in their division. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 7-2 and are on a four-game winning streak. They pulled off a close win over the Commanders in their last one. The Steelers have done well and this game is a chance to make a statement.
Prediction: The Steelers win
Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers (49ers -6.5) – The Seattle Seahawks are a game under .500. They are 4-5 and are on a two-game losing streak. They lost to the Bills and the Rams. They had some time off but are coming back to a challenge. The San Francisco 49ers are 5-4 and picked up two good wins over the Cowboys and the Buccaneers. They can keep momentum going with a win here.
Prediction: The 49ers win
Atlanta Falcons vs Denver Broncos (Broncos -2.5) – The Atlanta Falcons are 6-4 and are on top of the NFC South. They lost to the Saints in their last game. They face a solid team in the Denver Broncos. The Broncos lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in what would have been an upset. The Chiefs won 16-14. The Broncos have a chance to pick up a win at home, and will likely do that.
Prediction: The Broncos win
Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills (Bills -2.5) – The Kansas City Chiefs are a hard team to beat. They are 9-0 despite a few close calls (like last week). The Chiefs pull off wins, and this game is a chance to add to that. The Buffalo Bills are playing well. They are 8-2 and are on a five-game winning streak. The Bills have a chance to pull off something no other team has this season, and given the history of these two teams, that would be huge. But somehow, someway, the Chiefs will get the win.
Prediction: The Chiefs win
Cincinnati Bengals vs Los Angeles Chargers (Chargers -1.5) – The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-6 and lost their last game. That was the thrilling game against Baltimore. The Bengals have a chance to inch closer to .500 with a win over Los Angeles, but will that happen? The Chargers are playing well this season, as they find themselves 6-3. They are second in the AFC West behind Kansas City. The Chargers have picked up wins over the Saints, Browns and Titans recently. They can keep that going with a win here.
Prediction: The Chargers win
Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys (Texans -7.5) – This is a battle of the Texas teams, as the Houston Texans take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans have played well this season, and are 6-4. While they have lost their last two games, they are still a team that should not be taken lightly. Their opponent has not had it easy. The Cowboys are 3-6 and are on a four-game losing streak. They have had some bad losses this season, and have struggled to get into a rhythm. This game may be no different.
Prediction: The Texans win
