VoterPalooza: A No Kings Festival on Sunday, October 4, from noon to 7 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, enjoy live music, voter registration, ballot education, food trucks, community organizations, and fun for the whole family!
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO.– VoterPalooza: A No Kings Festival will take place Sunday, October
4, from noon to 7 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Memorial Amphitheater.
The free, family-friendly outdoor event will combine live music with voter registration assistance,
ballot education, community organizations, advocacy groups, local businesses, food trucks, and
raffle prizes. No organization, candidate, vendor, or other participant was charged a fee to table
or participate.
“VoterPalooza began with a simple idea: remove the barriers that keep people from participating
in civic life and create something that makes our community excited to get involved,” said
organizer Dr. Amber Benge. “We are bringing voter resources, music and community
organizations together in one welcoming space where people can learn, connect and enjoy the
day.”
The musical lineup includes:
● Jimmy Griffin of El Monstero and Celebration Day
● Dave Farver and Funky Butt Brass Band
● Rapture, an Anita Baker tribute
● Punky Booster
● Bruiser Queen
● Jason Wade
Attendees will be able to check their voter registration, receive ballot education, and connect
with organizations working throughout the St. Louis region.
Candidates will participate in a separate Candidate Soapbox located in one of the park’s
pavilions. Each participating candidate will have up to 10 minutes to speak. Candidate and
political club tables will also be located in that area. A schedule will be published before the
event so attendees will know when and where they can hear from participating candidates.
The main stage will remain focused on music, entertainment and nonpartisan civic messages
encouraging attendees to register, learn about their ballots and vote.
