St. Louis Youth Curfew Enforced: What to Know About the Summer Lockdown
ST. LOUIS — Starting July 3rd, the city is enforcing a strict St. Louis youth curfew that establishes an overnight summer lockdown for teenagers in the Downtown and Downtown West areas. Signed by Mayor Spencer under Executive Order 98, the mandate forces minors aged 17 and under off the streets between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM every night through Labor Day to combat previous years’ trends of late-night unsafe gatherings.

St. Louis’ Crime Chime – Weekly Whirlwind of Woes: Protection or Prison? The Fine Line of St. Louis’ New Youth Curfew

The city lights are glowing, but the summer’s got a spine,
Executive Order 98 is drawing up the line.
From July the 3rd to Labor Day, when the sun begins to set,
Downtown and Downtown West are hitting reset.
If you’re seventeen or under, gotta know the legal block,
From 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, they’re ticking on the clock.
Mayor Spencer signed the papers to ensure the streets stay right,
Keeping families and teenagers protected in the night.
But there’s freedom in the rhythm if you’re moving with a plan,
Like walking with your parents or a guardian’s helping hand.
If you’re coming home from working, or a civic/school event,
Then you’re cleared to keep on stepping where your destination went.
Chief Tracy says it’s safety first, to keep the city sound,
While the OVP and Mathews-Dickey hold the youth ground.
At the club on July 4th, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM,
They’ve got gaming trucks and basketball, a haven just for them.
So respect the summer curfew while you navigate the bricks,
Keep it safe out in St. Louis through the summer of ’26.
