Prior controversies surrounding Kamala Harris’s record with African Americans may impact her presidential campaign. Here’s what to know.
Articulated Insight – “News, Race and Culture in the Information Age”
The most unlikely candidate stands a good chance to become the first female president of the United States. Kamala Harris makeup is more of an amalgamation than Barack Obama. Her mother was born in India, her father is an Jamaican Immigrant and her husband is of Eastern European Jewish decent. To top this off, she is claimed by her African American sorority sisters from Howard University. To say “only in America” would be an understatement.
Initial rumors of an open convention or a primary were quickly crushed with her securing enough committed delegates to win the nomination. The Democratic power brokers were afraid of a “blacklash.” Any talk of a Gretchen Whitmewr or Gavin Neusome would have lost the Black vote.
Now, what about the vote tally? She has the Asian and the Caribian vote locked up. She has enough of the liberal and Trump haters to help her win. There is even a “White Women for Kamala” group that has formed. But what about the African American vote?
Watch video:
Black Americans very, very reluctantly supported the Biden/Harris ticket in 2020 despite all the hype by White media and the manufactured Black leader, Jim Clyburn. Thanks to the reporting of the new Black media (Black Truth, Black Authority, Vickie Dillard, and UIN), their records were exposed.
Not only are their past records “spotty,” but their efforts to advance the condition of the average African American are pretty much non-existent. When I say advance, I mean policies that close the social and economic gap between Blacks and other groups.
They talk a good game, but they know they have done little to affect real change in the Black community. In a rare honest admission, Kamala admitted they knew what they were doing was not enough. And then there is Uncle Joe. All the glowing tributes to Joe do not erase the fact that he had a horrible record as it relates to Black Americans: https://detiptv.com/joe-biden-is-no-friend-of-african-americans/
However, with all the hope, enthusiasm, and promise that her elevation is generating, we won’t dwell on the past. To help her campaign know what Black America wants. Here is a starting list
Reparations
Support Black OWNED media
Stop the genocide by Zionists and their goal to kill every Palestinian man, woman, and child and eliminate their Culture and DNA from human history.
Stop the police from trying to do the same thing to African Americans.
It won’t take long for the empty promises and rhetoric to rear its ugly head. When it does, the New Black media will not hesitate to make our viewers aware. What we do know is better Kamala than Donald Trump and his power-hungry minions.
Kamala’s talking points include Black economics and generational wealth. She can start be spending some of those hundreds of millions of dollars with Black OWNED media.
There is a difference between Black targeted like BET, Bounce, Black Information Network, Tubi which are Black targeted, White owned. Black owned is NNPA, UIN, Roland Martin, Black Enterprise etc. Lets get busy electing Kamala..
