After Joe Biden steps down, Kamala Harris stands up to lead the Democratic Party and bring change to the US government.

On Sunday, July 21, President Joseph R. Biden succumbed to internal political pressure and ended his reelection campaign.
For close to a month, the president has been under intense pressure from former President Barack Obama, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader Hakim Jeffries, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a growing number of Members of Congress, and donors to bow out after a disastrous performance on June 27.
President Biden said, withdrawing from the race, “Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We’ve made historic investments in rebuilding our nation, in lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and in expanding affordable healthcare to a record number of Americans.”
The President continued, “We’ve provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances. Passed the first gun safety laws in 30 years. Appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court… And while it would have been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my time.”
The statement began the process of bringing to a formal close on January 20, 2025, an extraordinary public service career, expanding over fifty years as a senator, vice president, and president of the United States.
A short while later, President Biden formally endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor in the White House next January. Only two other women have sought the American presidency: Rep. Shirley Chisholm, an African American, in 1972 and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016.
The vice president is now officially a candidate for the next president of the United States. In the first 24 hours since launching her candidacy, she raised over $50 million in campaign donations.
American Democracy is at stake next November 5. And if it is to be saved, the Democratic Party must do what it did not for President Biden or Secretary Clinton: unite around Vice President Harris and defend and protect her with the same vigor that the Republican Party has for former President Donald J. Trump.
No matter what the attacks are!
The Democratic Party has several distinct advantages over our nominee that the Republicans don’t:
Kamala Harris is not a convicted felon on 34 charges.
She is not facing an additional 54 charges.
The vice president has never been faced nor found guilty of sexual assault.
Vice President Harris has never been impeached once, much less twice.
She does not believe “there would be good people on both sides” in Charlottesville in July 2017.
The vice president did not support the insurrection and attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, leading to the deaths of five Americans.
Nor has Kamala Harris been convicted for fraudulent business practices in any state.
The cognitively declining, racist, treasonous, anti-democracy Trump must be defeated in November. It is he who is “crazy” and “nuts,” not President Biden or Vice President Harris.
Americans have a choice: the prosecutor versus the convict!
The choice is an easy one!
Let’s see if the Democratic Party unifies around the vice president less than three weeks before the convention in Chicago.
Thank you for your service, President. America is truly indebted to you, and you will, for generations yet unborn, go down in American history as a truly selfless public servant who always put his country first.
And Mr. President, here’s a humble suggestion: Consider resigning from office before the convention and allow your vice president to land at O’Hare Airport on Air Force One as President Kamala Harris.
Such a move will further galvanize support for her candidacy and preempt any attempts within the Democratic or Republican parties to undermine it.
