Hidden Healers: A Celebration of Historical Black Figures in Medicine: Dr. Marie Maynard Daly

Dr. Marie Maynard Daly’s groundbreaking work revealed a crucial scientific connection. Specifically, she established the link between high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Consequently, her research led to a major shift in how we approach heart health. As a result, this changed both prevention strategies and public health methods for managing chronic disease risks.
