According to the old folks at the AARP, the TSA has released new security procedures during the pandemic. Yes, I said pandemic.

What did you think, it was all over? Vaccinated or not vaccinated, you still have to follow their protocol.

So, get out your mask collection, have patience and abide as you pass through airport screening. This was one reason why most people hit the rental car places.

They want to avoid the hassles. Sure planes will get there faster and safely.

But, is dealing with the long lines at TSA screening points worth the matters? On Nov 29, more than 2.2 million people dealt with the hassle as they passed through the screening.

Two years prior, it was about 2.6 million people that had passed through the process. A huge leap from the pandemic upstart year of 2020, with just 982,000 passengers going through airport security.

i remembered all too well flying to Utah on business.I had to go through the security checkpoint with my one duffle bag.

As a result, that particular moment, it really was not busy at all that morning. So, I was in and out.

TSA administrator David Pekoski wants the passengers to plan ahead, remain vigilant and practice kindness. With the holiday season upon us, TSA and other officials are concerned with the travelers behavior during screening and up in the air.

By law, passengers over the age of 2 must wear face mask in the airport and on the plane, at least until March 18, 2022. So, you have a mask mandate and security check points going down this season.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the TSA has had 11,406 federal employees test positive for Covid-19, and 33 have died after contracting the virus. Oh my let their be faith, that we will get through this.

5 quick things to do to prepare for the airport:

Make sure you check your luggage for the proper items needed to pass through

Get there on time at least an hour before your flight

Get some rest the night before so you won’t be cranky at any little thing

Wear shoes that are easily to slip on and off, with clean socks to avoid embarasing moments

If you require assistance because of medical or disability issues, contact TSA Cares at least 72 hours in advance of your flight at 855-787-2227.
