On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, join participating doctors as they discuss the fact vs. fiction, associated with blacks and the tiring Sickle Cell Disease. I dear friend of mine died of this dreadful disease, which left him fatigue and in much pain much of his life up to 39 years of age.
I wrote a story about the disease, but my character survived it and had gone on to live a prosperous and healthy life. We as a whole in the black community do not talk a lot about this disease, or any debilitated disease, until it is just painfully too late.
Please join these lovely medical professionals, from different organizations as they discuss the stigma and truth of Sickle Cell in our black communities. And if you know of anyone impacted by this condition click the link and listen in next week.
