Cabanne & Julia Davis Libraries Reopen After Devastating 2025 Tornado

After being devastated by the May 16, 2025 tornado, Cabanne & Julia Davis Libraries in St. Louis reopen on May 18, reaffirming their commitment to serve as vital literary and community hubs.

St. Louis Public Library:

We are excited to announce that both Julia Davis Library and Cabanne Library will resume their normal operating hours starting on May 18, 2024. Julia Davis Library will open at 9 a.m., and Cabanne Library will open at noon. To mark this special occasion, we’ve planned engaging reopening celebrations at both locations, featuring light refreshments, fun activities for all ages, and opportunities to connect with your community.

Extended Hours at Walnut Park Library During the temporary closure of Cabanne and Julia Davis Libraries, Walnut Park Library provided extended hours to serve the community. With the reopening of both main branches, Walnut Park Library will return to its regular schedule starting Monday, May 18, 2024.
