Yesterday, we did a story on Alpha Kappa Alpha, whose founder’s day anniversary was on Saturday. Now, today Sunday, on January 16, 2022, it’s the anniversary of Zeta Phi Beta.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., was also founded on the campus of Howard University, Washington DC, years later on January 16, 1920. The Sorority’s International programs such as Z-Hope (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) empower people from all walks of life.

In 1920, five African-American women from Howard envisioned a sorority that would raise the consciousness of their people. Moreover, they would encourage the highest standards of scholastic achievement, and foster a a greater sense of unity among its members.

Since its founding Zeta Phi Beta has historically focused on addressing social issues. The membership of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., includes 125,000+ college educated, dynamic,community service, diverse and professional women.

There are 3 type of memberships, Undergraduate, graduate and honorary.
The historic sorority is a non-profit 501(c) (7) organization that is divided into eight intercontinental regions. And they have 800+ chapters located in the USA, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
