Walmart Celebrates Grand Reopening of Manchester Supercenter with Community Event

Store transformation brings an expanded assortment, modernized layout and enhanced shopping experiences to Manchester customers

MANCHESTER, Mo. (Sept. 28, 2025) – Walmart marked the reopening of its newly remodeled Manchester Supercenter at 201 Highlands Boulevard Drive on Friday morning with a community celebration and ribbon-cutting attended by store associates, local leaders and community members.

The transformation reflects Walmart’s continued investment in the Manchester community and introduces an expanded assortment, improved layouts, enhanced digital tools and faster, more convenient shopping options designed to better serve customers whether they shop in-store, online or through the Walmart app. The Manchester Supercenter is one of seven Walmart stores planned for remodeling in Missouri in 2026.

The celebration kicked off with a Presentation of the Colors by Ballwin VFW, followed by the national anthem performed by General Merchandise Coach Michelle Williams and Angel Clark. Local leaders, including City of Manchester police officers and Mayor Benjamin Toben, joined Walmart associates and managers for a ribbon-cutting ceremony recognizing the store’s transformation and the longtime associates who serve the community.

Manchester Police Sgt. Dan Rehm also presented Store Manager Eddie Barron with a plaque recognizing the store’s 25-year partnership with the Manchester Shop with a Cop program. The celebration also featured vendor giveaways and samples from Bubblr, Monster, Hershey and others.

“This remodel represents a major investment, not only in our store but in the future,” said Eddie Barron, Walmart store manager. “Our customers will enjoy an expanded assortment across food, general merchandise and fashion, improved layouts throughout the store and enhanced shopping experiences. We’ve also added almost 5,000 square feet dedicated to online shopping and fulfillment operations. This expansion improves the experience and positions Manchester Walmart for the future of pickup, delivery and online shopping. And of course, none of this would have happened without our wonderful associates. I couldn’t be prouder of or more excited for the associates who helped transform this store into what it is today.”

The remodeled Manchester Supercenter now offers several enhancements designed to make shopping more convenient and intuitive, including:

Expanded aisles and interactive displays that help them visualize merchandise in their homes
An expanded assortment of healthy foods and affordable, elevated brands such as De’Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson and Lemme
More speed and convenience options, including delivery in as little as one hour
A seamless store app experience, allowing customers to navigate aisles, access store services and book oil changes at the Auto Care Center

These improvements are part of Walmart’s Store of the Future model, which combines a modernized layout, enhanced digital tools and an expanded, on-trend assortment to help customers shop how and when they want.
