How to Access CMAA: Locations, Appointments, and Remote Options

Finding the right support requires knowing where and how to connect with case managers, advisors, and instructors. CMAA provides flexible service models to accommodate clients with busy schedules or transportation challenges.

Where are you located?

CMAA maintains offices across the Chicago metropolitan area and the Fox Valley region:

Chicago (Uptown / Main Office): 1016 W. Argyle Street, Chicago, IL 60640 (with temporary services at 1112 W. Argyle St. and 4853 N. Broadway during facility renovations)

Chicago (West Ridge Office): 2424 W. Peterson Ave., Chicago, IL 60659

Elgin Office: 357 Division St., Unit 3, Elgin, IL 60120

Are services available to people outside your local area?

Yes. While CMAA is physically based in Chicago and Elgin, programs extend assistance to residents throughout Cook, Kane, Lake, and DuPage counties. In addition, statewide initiatives such as the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Illinois APEX Accelerator can advise business owners located throughout the region.

📢 Community Impact Spotlight: Shape the Future of Chicago Resources

Are you tired of business programs and neighborhood initiatives that don’t quite fit your day-to-day realities? For over 40 years, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) has been a cornerstone for Chicago-area families and entrepreneurs, serving over 1.3 million people across Uptown, West Ridge, and Elgin. Now, heading into the second half of 2026, CMAA is launching a brief community assessment to find out exactly what kind of financial assistance, workforce training, and local grants your neighborhood needs most right now.

Don’t leave community resources on the table. By taking just five minutes to complete this survey, your feedback will directly guide future funding and ensure local support goes precisely where it will help your bottom line. Secure your community’s future and make your voice count today at surveymonkey.com/r/CMAA.

Are your services available virtual and in-person?

Yes. CMAA offers both in-person appointments and remote options. Clients can schedule one-on-one sessions at local offices or connect with case managers and business advisors via video conferencing, telephone consultations, and email. Group workshops and educational classes frequently offer hybrid or remote formats as well.

What is the process to become a client?

Becoming a client begins with an initial intake:

  • Submit an Inquiry: You can fill out a client intake form online via the CMAA website or call the central office directly at (773) 784-2900 (Chicago) or (847) 289-1138 (Elgin).
  • Intake and Assessment: A coordinator will review your needs, determine language preferences, and match you with the appropriate program, whether that involves social services, adult education, or business consulting.
  • First Appointment: You will schedule an initial meeting (in-person or virtual) to review your goals, fill out required onboarding documentation, and outline your action plan.
