Great news! Simone Biles will compete in the women’s beam event final on Tuesday at the Tokyo Olympics, USA Gymnastics announced.
“We are so excited to confirm that you will see two U.S. athletes in the balance beam final tomorrow – Suni Lee AND Simone Biles!! Can’t wait to watch you both!”, the national governing body said.
She withdrew from Tokyo’s Monday’s floor final on Sunday, and the team said her status for beam was uncertain.
She posted about her going through mental heath issues and the outpouring support from the fans has helped her through that process.
