We’re sure they’ll be using some of these products during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2024 Paris Olympics are here!
And while we definitely can’t mimic the floor routines of Jordan Chiles, Sunni Lee and Simone Biles, or navigate waves like Carissa Moore or Brighton Zeuner, we can at least copy their beauty routines.
It’s obvious that the women competing for Team USA are G.O.A.Ts for their skills, but over the years, they’ve also shared how they get ready for competitions, the essentials they use to stay safe and products that help them unwind after a rigorous day. In fact, we’ve got the details on their favorite sunscreens, go-to face washes and oil cleansers, as well as the prep products that keep their makeup looking fresh and locked in place. We were even lucky enough to chat with Suni Lee and Gabby Douglas ourselves to get the insider scoop on what they are loving on and off the mat.
The best part? So many of them are affordable, so we can live out our Olympic dreams in some form from our living rooms.

Suni Lee
Beyond the impressive floor routines and stunning outfits, Olympic gymnasts are also known for their iconic hair styles. Suni Lee told Good Housekeeping that she keeps a few items on hand to get the perfect look while she’s competing. “Got2b glued hair gel is my biggest tip for a slick back hairstyle that stays throughout competition, and it’s so affordable,” she said. “I also love the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Setting Spray and the Batiste Sweat Activated Dry Shampoo.”

We’ve all been thinking it: “How does Simone Biles’ performance makeup stay flawless?” It turns out, the key is moisturizing skin prep. Her makeup artist, Alayza Casey, told US Magazine that before she applies any foundation, concealer, contour, etc., she goes in with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer and Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Treatment, which create the perfect base for Biles.
Another affordable beauty pick the G.O.A.T loves? Carmex Lip Balm. “This is such a classic. My mom introduced it to me and I’ve been using it for years,” she told PEOPLE in 2021.

Sha’Carri Richardson
When she’s off the track, Sha’Carri Richardson is making her skin glow with Olay. As a recent brand partner, Richardson says she enjoys using the Olay Cleansing Melts to decompress at the end of a long day. “Those are very hydrating and refreshing, and they get my mascara and liner off,” she told Nylon. She also noted that the solid, water-activated cleansing pads are easy to carry along for travel, which is why she reportedly keeps them in her carry-on whenever she is trekking for meets. Our Good Housekeeping Institute beauty experts are also fans.

Natalia Grossman
Keeping her skincare routine succinct and easy is what Natalia Grossman is all about. The sport climbing star, who is also an Olay partner, spilled the details of her regimen to StyleCaster. “I take a cold shower, I use the Olay vitamin C moisturizer, and then do my hair — before going to the gym, it’s pretty minimal,” she said of her morning routine.
Then after a long day of working out, “I use the Olay cleanser, just because I’ve probably been sweating,” she said. “[T]hen I use moisturizing products like the retinol 24 or Super Serum. I think both of those routines are very minimal and easy to do so I can do them anywhere, and that’ll help me have that sense of routine and make me feel comfortable during the Olympics.”

Carissa Moore
Surfing keeps Carissa Moore out in the sun for hours on end, so sun protection is always her go-to. “My competition bag always contains Sun Bum SPF 50 or 70,” she said, according to Bustle. “I try to apply every hour and a half to two hours.”

Alix Klineman
This Olympic gold medalist knows a thing or two about braving the heat and sun for her sport. So it’s pretty self-explanatory why she has “a lot of different sunscreens for all these different situations,” according to Vogue. “EIR [Surf Mud Pro] is heavy-duty and it’s almost like you draw it on,” Klineman said, noting that it “will actually stay” even though she is a heavy sweater. She also likes the Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick for her face when she’s wearing makeup. “Then for my body, my favorite is Sun Bum because there’s a lot of zinc in it,” she said. “It’s a spray which is really convenient for your body when you’re trying to, you know, apply a lot of area.”

Gabby Douglas
Despite being known for her ability to pull off intricate gymnastics routines, three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas prefers to keep it simple when it comes to her skincare.
“I wash my face [with Good Molecules Acne Foaming Cleanser], do a [Cocokind Organic] rose toner, and then rub on vitamin E oil, which I think is super affordable,” she told Good Housekeeping.
“I do rub [Cocokind] sunscreen on my face every day. It limits the harsh UV lights from the sun.”
