Who Qualifies for MO HEROES CONNECT?
MO HEROES CONNECT is designed to support those who have served our country and their families. Here’s a breakdown of eligibility:
Veterans
- Active Duty Veterans or AGR who meet the federal definition of a veteran (Title 38 USC code Ch. 42).
- Separated but not retired within the last five years.
- Discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
National Guard or Reserve Members
- Members of a Reserve Component (National Guard, Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Navy Reserve, or Coast Guard Reserve).
- Deployed on Federal Orders (Title 10) for at least four months.
- Within five years of discharge from deployment.
Military Spouses
- Currently unemployed.
- Spouse of an Active Duty U.S. Military or AGR service member.
- OR spouse of a National Guard or Reserve member who:
- Was deployed on Federal Orders for at least four months.
- Is within five years of discharge from deployment.
Note: Required documentation includes DD214, active duty documentation, or spouse ID verification.

MO HEROES CONNECT offers a range of benefits to help participants transition into civilian employment and secure meaningful jobs for veterans.
Training Opportunities
- Occupational Skills Training: Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) to develop in-demand skills.
- On-the-Job Training: Gain hands-on experience while earning.
- Apprenticeships: Learn and grow in a structured work environment.
Supportive Services
Eligible participants can receive up to $1,500 in supportive services, including:
- Financial assistance for overdue bills.
- Childcare support related to training or employment.
- Transportation assistance to attend training or work.
