Hidden Healers: A Celebration of Historical Black Figures in Medicine: Ernest Everett Just, Ph.D. (1883–1941)

Dr. Ernest Everett Just made groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of cell development. He focused on the importance of the cell surface and its environment, which was a revolutionary perspective at the time. By challenging the reductionist views of biology, Dr. Just significantly influenced fields such as physiology, toxicology, and biomedical science.

Although he faced limited institutional support, his discoveries have stood the test of time and remain foundational to modern biology. His work continues to inspire scientists and researchers today.
