G Souldier Wins Global Music Award for Clean Water Anthem
A Major Milestone for Clean Water Advocacy
I’m honored and deeply grateful to share that I’ve won a Global Music Award in the Humanitarian category for my song “We Are The Leaders For Clean Water.” This recognition means more to me than I can put into words. It celebrates not just music, but mission, purpose, and impact.
I wrote, produced, and brought this record together with one clear vision in mind. I wanted to create a global call-to-action for clean water access. The song is available on all streaming platforms now. However, from the very beginning, I knew it had to be bigger than just a track. It had to be a movement.
Music with a Mission
As an advisory board member for JB Dondolo, I’ve seen firsthand how critical clean water is to underserved communities around the world. Consequently, that mission is personal to me. “We Are The Leaders For Clean Water” became my way of using my voice, my pen, and my platform to push that message forward through music.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Lumbie Mlambo, head of JB Dondolo’s International Records. She served as Executive Producer on this project. Furthermore, her leadership and belief in this vision helped shape the record into something powerful and globally impactful.
Collaborating for a Cause
This song would not be what it is without the incredible voices of Shawna Linzy, Liso Dingwall, and Pyrexx_singz. Their soulful vocals brought the track alive. In addition, they gave it emotional depth and strength. I came in with my lyrical hip-hop element, delivering verses rooted in urgency and truth. Together, our four voices created something timeless. It is something that will stand the test of time.
I also want to thank Beatrice Davis for handling PR and serving as a trusted consultant throughout this journey. Her strategy and dedication helped elevate this record to new heights. Without the entire team, none of this would have been possible.
Visualizing the Struggle
The music video adds another layer of impact to the project. It depicts powerful imagery of people living in poverty and in desperate need of clean water. Throughout the visuals, you see me, Shawna, Liso, and Pyrexx weaving in and out. We are singing and rapping our parts, bringing both performance and purpose together in one inspirational experience. It’s not just something you watch; it’s something you feel.
Winning this Global Music Award shows me that people still appreciate great music with substance. They appreciate music that carries a real message. In a world where trends often overshadow meaning, this recognition proves that purpose-driven art still resonates across borders.
“We Are The Leaders For Clean Water” isn’t just a song. It’s our declaration. It’s our responsibility. And now, it’s an award-winning global anthem for change.
