Earn Cash and College Credit Before Graduation: St. Louis Teen Internships Just Opened

You don’t have to wait for college to start earning real money and building a resume. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis just opened applications for the St. Louis Internship Program, giving high school sophomores and juniors the chance to pick up a paycheck, pocket college credits, and work alongside local professionals before graduation day.

Overview: The St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP), operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, has opened applications for high school sophomores and juniors across the bi-state area. The initiative pairs eligible students (2.0 GPA minimum) with paid professional internships, mentorship, and transferable college credit ahead of the December 1 deadline.

High school students in the St. Louis area can now apply for paid work experience, college credit, and career training through the St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP).

Run by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL), SLIP connects local sophomores and juniors with professional jobs, mentors, and skill-building opportunities to help them get ready for college and future careers.

Program Benefits

Who Can Apply To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • e a current high school sophomore or junior during the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Attend a high school within the St. Louis bi-state area.
  • Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
  • Show strong school attendance and good citizenship.

Virtual Information Sessions Students and parents can attend an upcoming online session to learn more about the application process. Both sessions start at 6:00 PM:

  • Wednesday, October 14
  • Wednesday, November 4
