DC BLACK PRIDE 2026 THEME REVEAL SET FOR INTIMATE, HIGH-ENERGY “SPEAKEASY HAPPY HOUR” IN WASHINGTON, DC, Credit DC PRIDE

The Center for Black Equity will reveal the 2026 DC Black Pride theme during a speakeasy-style happy hour at 6 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Union Stage, Washington, DC. The free event marks the countdown to Pride Weekend and features performances by Sherri Amouré and Keith Angelo, music by DJ Big Sexy, and host Anthony Oakes. Attendees can also get a sneak peek of upcoming programming and the Opening Reception headliner.

Founded in 1991 amid the HIV/AIDS crisis, DC Black Pride has become a global movement celebrating Black LGBTQ+ culture, health, and empowerment. Despite challenges like shrinking sponsorships and rising costs, organizers remain committed to preserving the event’s legacy and addressing community needs.
