Celebrity Actor Antoine Harris talks Power, Ballers, The Breaks, and his life in the film industry.

Born in Brooklyn, and raised in Jamaica, Queens. Antoine Harris did a lot of background film work for his first two years to hone his craft, being able to watch Denzel Washington on the set of The Taking of Pelham 123 or playing chess with Woody Harrelson.

Antoine soaked up every ounce of wisdom. Harris also attended acting school. I asked him what’s the difference between acting school and background work? “I did both but I will tell you this. It’s one thing to get it from a teacher who may or may not ever have been on a set but it’s a whole different experience being on set and seeing how the making of  a film or TV show works. Seeing how the directors talk to the talent, seeing how the actors take their space and understand their beats.”

Antoine is a published poet and also had his hands in theater appearing in Jim Jones play ‘The Hip Hop Monologue.’ Antoine is signed to Jermaine Dupri as a songwriter.

Harris has written songs for the likes of Usher, Ludacris, Kenny Latimore and many more. Antoine would go on to act as Alonzo in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson TV series Ballers. When asked what that experience was like Harris stated “It was a great experience, The Rock was extremely humble and a very hard worker.

One of the people I actually got to build with. He didn’t let the industry get to him. HBO flew me out first class, put me in 5 star hotels, we had drivers, it was a great time. Antoine also acted in the hit Starz series Power. “50 Cent was also humble and super focused. I enjoyed watching how he carried himself on set.”

Antoine Harris would become a lead actor in the highly acclaimed TV series “The Breaks” as the character Ahm. My mindset was a different level of confidence and preparation for this audition. I claimed that role. It was a perfect fit for me.

After my audition, I barely made it to the train station when my agent called me and told me I got the role.”

Antoine Harris is not slowing down anytime soon.He just finished shooting season two of the Tv series “Lace” that will be out this summer on the AllBlk Network. He acted in a short film titled Tuesday morning, and his feature film “Night Games” starring Vanessa Simmons and Nelcie Souffrant will be out this spring.

When it’s all over and he is long gone from this earth, Antoine wants the world to know “That I wanted people to win. I wanted to create generational wealth.

I wanted to help get people through their good days and bad days and break generational curses and I want them to  know how powerful God is.”
