Head Coach Yoann Damet

On how the team handled the changes with the postponement of the game:

Yeah, as good as good as we can. I think we’ve got a group that reacts very well to the moments of adversity and the moments that are out of our control. We try to control a lot of things, and there is some stuff that you can control. To be fair, I can put it out there. I think the way it was handled the first time the past weekend was very good because I’ve been involved in this kind of games in the past, where the decisions are made quite late, and I think the fact that the decision was made early enough for us to fly back and to follow our preparation was very good, and the group was very much locked in. I think this week that changed a little bit our plan in terms of what we wanted to do this week, but in the end, it was kind of the same. We were going to give some days at the back end of that, and the guys knew that this game was very important for us before the break.

On the importance of earning a clean sheet tonight:

We know it’s important. We know that we can’t score two or three goals in every game. That’s just the reality, you know. So, we have to challenge ourselves with that. So, it’s nice tonight to be on the road again after the Colorado game last week and to be able to keep another clean sheet, I think it speaks for the work that the players are doing and how committed they are to one another when it comes to what we want to do and when we defend. So very positive. I think we can build on that for the month of October.

On the impact Simon Becher and Sangbin Jeong made entering as subs in the second half:

Listen, it’s never easy to come into those games. Games are getting a little bit stretched. They’re pushing. They’re taking a lot of risks to come back to the game. At the same time, for us, we have to control the ball a little bit more. I think having all those guys coming off the bench, Tomas [Ostrak], Simon [Becher], Lukas [MacNaughton] coming in, I think gave us a lot of energy and allowed us to have a little bit more composure in terms of our decision making. I was quite happy with the way those guys came in, and we’ve been speaking a lot about how important the group is. And when I speak about the group, it’s the whole group. It’s the guys that are there tonight, but also the guys that stay behind, and how well they’ve been working together. And when those opportunities come, I think they have to they have to take them, and they have to help the team the best way they can.
