The St. Louis Development Corporation’s (SLDC) Learn2Tech program is expanding to the SLATE Missouri Job Center, offering free advanced computer and AI training. Participants will gain essential digital skills, receive a free laptop, and enjoy one year of Wi-Fi access upon program completion. Classes begin June 1, 2026, at SLATE’s computer lab.


Learn2Tech Digital Literacy Program: Empowering St. Louis Residents

The Learn2Tech digital literacy program, launched by the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC), is now expanding to the SLATE Missouri Job Center. This initiative provides free advanced computer and AI training to help St. Louis residents build essential digital skills for today’s workforce. Participants who complete the program will receive a free laptop and one year of Wi-Fi access, ensuring they are equipped for success in a technology-driven world.


What is Learn2Tech?

Learn2Tech is part of SLDC’s ConnectSTL initiative, designed to empower residents with real-world digital skills for work, school, and daily life. Since its launch in 2025, the program has been hosted at various community centers, including:

  • Northside Economic Empowerment Center
  • Marquette Recreational Center
  • Tandy Community Center

Now, the program will also be available at SLATE Missouri Job Center’s computer lab, located on the third floor at 1520 Market Street.


Class Details and Schedule

The free, 4-week training sessions at SLATE will focus on:

  • Essential computer skills
  • Digital tools and platforms
  • Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence

Class Schedule:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:00–4:00 p.m.
  • First cohort starts June 1, 2026
  • Second cohort begins July 6, 2026

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in Learn2Tech, applicants must:

  • Reside in a qualified census tract
  • Complete eligibility verification before receiving devices and internet access
  • Successfully finish the program to receive a laptop and Wi-Fi hotspot
