Nathaniel Mahone, a proud St. Louis native, will appear in the ensemble of the production while also serving as an understudy for two principal roles. This homecoming marks a significant milestone in his professional career and offers local audiences a chance to celebrate one of their own on a national stage.

A graduate of Lafayette High School in Wildwood, MO, Mahone began developing his craft locally, first appearing on stage at The Muny in 2013. As both a Muny Kid and Muny Teen, and later returning as an adult performer, he built a strong foundation in one of the nation’s premier musical theatre institutions. He has also performed with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, The St. Louis Repertory Theatre, The Rev, The Lex and Music Theatre Wichita, expanding his professional experience across respected regional stages.

In addition to his performance credits, Mahone earned recognition early in his career as a recipient of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition’s Musical Theatre Scholarship in 2019, alongside his partner Kaley Bender.

He recently earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Oklahoma in 2025, further honing his performance skills before joining the national tour of Spamalot.

The “Spamalot” tour refers to the touring production of the musical “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” which is a musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” The show features the humor and absurdity characteristic of Monty Python, with memorable songs, comedic sketches, and a satirical take on the legend of King Arthur.

Overview of the Tour:

  • Premiere and Launch: The original Broadway production of “Spamalot” opened in 2005, directed by Mike Nichols, and quickly gained popularity for its humorous take on medieval legends.
  • Touring Productions: Following its success on Broadway, “Spamalot” embarked on national and international tours. These tours bring the show to various cities across the United States and around the world, allowing a broader audience to experience its comedic spectacle.
  • Repertoire: The touring productions typically feature a cast of talented performers who bring the beloved characters to life, along with elaborate set designs, costumes, and musical numbers like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.”
