Week 2: NFL Big game picks with shocking potential upsets

The Boys from the Bayou continue their success against Brady.

Big Games

Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens – Ravens are favored by 3

The Dolphins gave the Ravens hell last season and beat the Ravens.  Now the Dolphins have a better offensive game plan with Coach Mike McDaniel, and a new weapon in Tyreke Hill.  I’ll take the Dolphins to be the Ravens outright, again. Winner – Miami Dolphins

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints – Tampa is favored by 2.5

Tom Brady is already has one foot into retirement, he’s talking about aches and pains of a 45-year-old, he’s also always had trouble with the Saints. The Boys from the Bayou continue their success against Brady. Winner – New Orleans Saints

Double Dip on Monday Night (Updated: Eagles 24, Vikings 7; Bills 41, Titans 7)

Tennessee Titans vs Buffalo Bills – Bills a 10 point favorite

Buffalo all the way.  Not sure if they will cover the 10 points but definitely will win the game out right. Winner – Buffalo Bills

Minnesota Vikings vs Philadelphia Eagles – Philly is 2 point favorite.

I’m taking the fighting Kirk Cousins for the outright win and upset.  I expect Minnesota’s offense to flourish this season with Kevin O’Connell in the driver’s seat.  The high octane offense of Minnesota will take Philly out of their heavy dose of the run game.  Winner – Minnesota Vikings

The Rest of Week 2’s matchups

Washington Commanders vs Detroit Lions – Commanders win outright to go 2-0

New York Jets vs Cleveland Browns – Jets stink, Browns survival mission without Deshaun continues.  Browns for the W  – Cleveland wins and will cover 6.5 spread.

Carolina Panthers vs New York Giants – Baker gets his first win as a Panthers.  Carolina in a slight upset as Giants are favored by 2. – Winner – Carolina Panthers

New England Patriots vs Pittsburgh Steelers – New England is favored by 2, not sure why.  The Patriots are a mess. Winner – Pittsburgh Steelers

Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence is wildly inaccurate and that team is still a major work in progress. Matty Ice and the Colts get the win.  Indianapolis wins and covers 3 point spread.  Winner- Indianapolis Colts.

Atlanta Falcons vs LA Rams – Champs get back on track after a tough loss to Buffalo  Winner – LA Rams

Cincinatti Bengals vs Dallas Cowboys – Game will be close because Cincy’s awful offensive line.  But with no Dak Prescott Bengals squeak out a win.  Cincy is a 7 point favorite.  I don’t expect them to cover the spread, but they will win – Winner – Cincinatti Bengals

Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers – I’ll take the vet Geno Smith over Trey Lance.  Seattle gets off to a 2-0 start. The line is in favor of SF by 9.  Not sure why Vegas is so heavy on the 49ers.  I disagree make some money on this.  Seattle even if they don’t win they will beat that spread.  Winner – Seattle

Las Vegas Raiders vs Arizona Cardinals – Raiders find a way to even their record to 1-1.  The Cardinals are a mess.  Vegas is a 6 point favorite.  I’ll give them a touchdown edge.  Take Raiders and the points.  Winner – Raiders

Houston Texans vs Denver Broncos – Denver wins and gets back on track. – Winner Denver

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers – Packers own the Bears – Winner Green Bay
