I am not a fan of the 4th of July, however, I don’t want to deter anyone from having a great time. Whether you are inviting friends over for the big grill party or going to the beach for a swim.
The 4th of July is a major summer holiday, and people wants all that it has to offer. In addition to the firework shows, the burnt hot dogs and cold beer, this holiday has it all.
It is a holiday that reminds some of the Declarations of Independence, and that they are in the land of the free. Nonetheless, that is another topic that I don’t want to facilitate any further.
Consisently, many cities like St. Louis, go all out on the 4th. But this year’s VP Fair will be toned down a bit, and the river isn’t even causing flooding issues.

The sprawling Fair St. Louis event that typically lasts the entire Fourth of July weekend will be a little different this year. The 2023 celebration will only occur on one day. It will include a parade in the morning and fireworks against the backdrop of the Arch that evening. The Fair St. Louis Foundation says that they had a lot of success in 2022. In addition, they had a lot of events and want to connect with the community to help grow the event. Moreover, they are using this year to make plans for a city-wide celebration in the summer of 2024.
