House votes to hold Steve Bannon in criminal contempt for defying Capitol attack.

The House voted 229-202, with nine Republicans voting with Democrat to hold Steve Bannon in criminal contempt for defying Capitol attack subpoenaThe House passed a resolution on Thursday finding Steve Bannon, advisor to former president Donald Trump, in contempt of Congress and asking the Department of Justice to proceed with criminal prosecution over his refusal to cooperate with an investigating into the January 6 insurrection on the US Capitol the AP and Reuters report. The vote comes after Trump filed a lawsuit on Monday to block the House committee from accessing records related to the attack.
