The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the biggest surprises this season, and their star guard Ja Morant plays a big role in that. But with recent reports, it looks like Morant’s season could be over.

According to the Memphis Grizzlies, Morant is likely to miss the rest of the playoffs. Morant suffered a knee injury in the second half of Game 3, as Golden State guard Jordan Poole unintentionally grabbed Morant’s knee during a play. Morant was removed from the game and did not return. Then, Morant sat out of Game 4, when the Grizzlies lost 101-98.

Morant has had an incredible season. He averaged a career high 27.4 points, 6.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He won Most Improved Player over San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray and Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland in what was arguably a close race.

Morant has also had a good performance in this series, as he averaged 38.3 points, 8.3 assists and 6.7 rebounds.

The Grizzlies finished second in the West with a record of 56-26. They are arguably one of the favorites to come out of the West, and even without Morant, Memphis can win. They went 20-5 without him during the regular season.

The Warriors/Grizzlies series continues on Wednesday, as the Grizzlies host Golden State for Game 5. This is a win or go home game for the Grizzlies, and it will be interesting to see how they do. Stay tuned!
