AFC Championship
Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals
Patrick Mahomes injured his ankle as he suffered a high ankle sprain in KC’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. Mahomes had to hobble around to finish the game after sitting out a couple of series. If Mahomes is not fully healthy, I’m going to give the edge to Cincy. If Mahomes can go full bore, then I’m going to go with KC, this is a revenge game after Cincy upset the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game last year, and Joe Burrow has 3 wins over Mahomes.
Winner: Tentatively going with the Chiefs believing that Mahomes will be healthy enough to play.
NFC Championship
Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers
The Eagles and Niners are built very similarly with a Quarterback friendly system where QB 1 does not have a lot on their shoulders. Neither team has a traditional first round pick franchise QB. Both teams run the ball very well, and both teams have stout defenses. I’m going to give a small edge to the 49ers. Christian McCaffrey is better than any back that Philly has. I also believe Kyle Shanahan is a slightly better coach and more creative offensively than Nick Sirianni. I believe we will see a repeat of the 2019-2020 Super Bowl. San Francisco vs Kansas City.
Winner: Bang Bang Niner Gang (San Francisco 49ers)
Game schedule for Championship Sunday

Ed Reed left before he could get started at Bethune Cookman.
Reed is one of the best safeties in NFL history, and looked like he was headed towards following in the footsteps of his Baltimore teammate Deion Sanders and making his head coaching debut at an HBCU. Reed was irritated by things he saw on campus upon his arrival. There was trash in his office and the football facilities were not in the shape that he expected. Coach Reed went on a tirade about the conditions, going live on social media. A week or so later Bethune Cookman made the decision to not onboard Ed Reed as a coach.
