St. Paul AME Church located in the historic west side of St. Louis, MO, is doing a lot to keep the words spoken. The words of spiritual guidance and commitment to the congregation.
A congregation that decked all out in holiday cheers. With grace, Pastor Spencer Lamarr Booker and his lovely wife Gail, hosted their first annual Christmas party. And what an afternoon it was, a silent auction, delicious brunch buffett, guest speakers, live DJ and giveaways,As a result every seat in the hall was filled, at the venerable event space Orlando Gardens in suburban Maryland Heights. I must say I truly enjoyed the battle at the auction, and was able to walk away with a hefty Cardinals’ gift basket,
In addition to the auction to raise funds, ‘So We Built A Wall’ for the church, which is dealing with structural issues. Pastor Booker also got over 20 pledges as the afternoon got late, ensuring that he meet the goals for repair cost.
It was also a continuation of yesterday’s Appreciation ceremony for Presiding Elder Edmund E. Lowe, who had gotten a chance to bless the day with prayers.
There was so much going that you would have had to be in attendance, Yet it was such a joyous occasion to see so many people just having the time of their holidays.
And honoree Germaine Yancy, the heroic security personell at Central Visual Performing Art High School, who stepped in to save many lives, was presented with a plaque for his bravery.
As you may have recalled a very dangerous situation in St. Louis that claimed the life of a beloved teacher and female student,
