Hello, Mr. Powerhouse, how are you?
Isa: I’m always good, bro.
Tell us about your wonderful life with your children.
Isa: I have three kids. My only daughter, my firstborn, graduated high school at 16, then graduated college at 19. I also have two sons, 9 and 11 years old that I raise as a single dad. I have home-schooled them for 6 years. They’re both really smart. My 11 year old has Autism but it doesn’t slow him down education-wise. Plus, I have a 25-year-old stepson who’s doing well in the fashion industry.
Is it easy being a single Father?
Isa: Easy and very rewarding.
How many radio stations are you affiliated with?
Isa: I’m on 14 stations FM, and online in 11 states across America.
So, in a nutshell, what do you do as far as podcasts and being connected to broadcast radio?
Isa: I don’t do a podcast. I provide unsigned artists a platform to be heard on FM and online stations.
Where are you based?
Isa: It was Tampa, but I’m on my way to Las Vegas to set up base there in July.
Being a dad, what have been the toughest challenges with trying to work and put food on the table?
Isa: I don’t have any real challenges. I make decent money and I worked from home for the past 5 years, so I always have time for them. As far as food, these little dudes eat too much; I got to stop feeding them so well.
Have you ever interviewed any national recording artists?
Isa: I’ve interviewed a few, but I don’t like to. My show is about the unsigned artists.
You had talked about relocating to Africa, tell me more about that.
Isa: I was supposed to be there already. If it wasn’t for some Covid-19 rule, you would be interviewing me from Ghana. But I’ll head back out that way after I’m done with Vegas. The country is full of opportunity, culture, tradition and beauty.
How many members listen to you on a weekly basis?
Isa: I have no Idea. I’m on 14 stations, FM and online, but on my Powerhouse 106 FM platform alone, I do 40k a month. So I guess times that by 14. *laughs*
There are so many podcasters/online radio platforms out there doing their thing with marketing talents, all across the nation. What makes Powerhouse stands out?
Isa: I give them multiple stations in multiple states so they can be heard or/and discovered.
You are very active on Twitter, what are your other platforms?
Isa: I’m on every platform. You can find me on Public access cable, FM, AM, Online radio stations. As far as social media, I’m on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
