Picture this, Ibram X. Kendi’s new book ‘Goodnight Racism’ to be released in June

Goodnight Racism will give young children a better insight into racism. So, it should be a welcome addition to their little library.

Children’s book illustrator Ibram X. Kendi, is no stranger to publishing illustrated books. His picture book Antiracist Baby was published in 2019.

Associated Press: Goodnight Racism, illustrated by Cbabi Bayoc, “delivers important messages about antiracism, justice, and equality in an easy-to-read format that empowers readers both big and small,” Kokila says.

Kendi told the AP that the book “is not about what is; it is about what can be. It is about the good morning of an equitable and just world after wishing racism goodnight.”

Goodnight Racism will give young children a better insight into racism. Therefore, it should be a welcome addition to their little library.

Kendi is also the author of Stamped From the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, a National Book Award winner.

 More on Kendi. He is an American author, professor, anti-racist activist, and historian of race and discriminatory policy in America. He assumed the position of director of the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, in July, 2020..

Kendi was included in Time‘s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. He is married and has one child.
