Keeping up with the man of the NBA, Lebron James is back with the Lakers.

The Lakers are over .500 again. After losing their rival Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, putting them at an even 12-12, the Lakers beat another rival on Tuesday. And, their star forward had a lot to do with it.

Lakers forward LeBron James played his second game since exiting the NBA’s health and safety protocol. James finished Tuesday’s game with 30 points, five assists and four rebounds

James is getting back in the swing of things as he entered protocol last Tuesday. He was expected to miss several games unless he returned two negative PCR tests in a 24-hour span.

James had a positive test on November 29, but after additional testing, his positive result was labeled a “false positive.” James exited the protocol shortly after and returned to action on Friday.

After leaving the health and safety protocol, James expressed his frustration with the process

“I know you can be asymptomatic, but I mean, if what I have was a positive COVID test, then what are we doing? What are we talking about?” James said. “I just thought it was just handled very poorly. But, you know, it all came into the light just taking the test and being able to get cleared. That was definitely a breath of fresh air, not only for myself but for my family and friends and everyone that was involved.”

James also said that the NBA is doing a great job handling the protocols, but the incident in Sacramento (where he received his “false positive”) was handled differently.

Despite the mishap, James is back in action. And as other players like Ja Morant, DeMar DeRozan and LaMelo Ball enter protocol, the NBA must handle these situations carefully.
