The time that everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. The Red Carpet Film Premiere event for “The Greatest Stories Never Told part 2” will premiere on August 28, 2021, at the 24:1 Cinema. From 11 am til 1:30 pm. Although I Lacey “G Souldier Turner” have sold out numerous theatres for the other films that I have done.
This premiere is very important to me and dear to my heart. When I first started writing and directing short films, I wanted to bring them to life as a collective. Don’t get me wrong, it was great sending them off to film festivals and all.
But I wanted the audience to watch them as a unit. The films I write, always touch on important topics that get swept under the rug such as bullying, mental illness, racism, and etc. I call this program the Greatest Stories Never Told because these fictional narratives are an expression of issues that we face on a daily basis.
But they never create dialogue to come up with a solution to fix them. People are so used to the explosive CGI films and soap opera dramas, that true storytelling has been lost and almost wiped away from history.
I feel that I solely bring that true essence of storytelling back with these phenomenal works of art. I first started this series back in 2017 at the St Louis Galleria Theater, bringing out a crowd of over 250 people for The Greatest Stories Never Told part 1.
This year, I was back at it again. I hit the script writing software hard in early January, and along with Pure Reflection Productions, produced a variety of six strong films from different genres.
I have added two more films on the bill for that day which is a film I wrote but never released two years ago with 35 Multimedia titled Daddy’s Little Princess. and another film I Co-Directed with my partner of four years Stacey White that she wrote titled Replay.
I have a phenomenal cast who took on the dire task of making sure they created powerful characters to bring my vision to life in these motion pictures. My production company, 4 Feet Off The Ground Productions has been picking up steam this year and four of my films have already been selected to festivals.
Below I have posted a brief synopsis for each film that will premiere on August 28th.
Once I finished with post-production and had to choose a theater for the premiere, It was only right that I chose the prestigious 24:1 Cinema. This theater is very special because of the value and honor it brings to its customers. 24:1 Cinema opened November 6, 2015, consisting of 375 seats.
Despite their size. I applaud this theater because they are not connected to any small or large chains yet they still screen the top-notch films of the movie industry. Their staff is extremely nice and friendly. The theater is owned by the community, which is Beyond Housing.
A collaborative effort between 24 municipalities who believe in the all-for-one model of things with community leaders who actually live in the neighborhood. General Manager David King makes sure that the theater runs smoothly and that the audience members are always pleased with their amazing experience at the establishment.
When I asked David King what made Beyond Housing open this theater he stated. “The residents wanted a place to watch movies in their own community, and these past five and a half years have put a smile on many faces. We are for the community so please come to the theater and support us.”
