I carry on the legacy of my family by standing on the frontline of justice, equality, and our ability to stand in solidarity.
I believe in the POWER of media because it has the ability to CHANGE one’s perception of the world. Many may overlook the fact [media makes us we don’t make media] – If you never saw George Floyd’s murder would you have believed an officer of the law would’ve done such a senseless act (an act of murder) while on camera. Although the dust has settled and many have gone on about their daily lives George Floyd’s death and the countless other BLACK MEN and WOMEN (such as Sandra Bland) should not go silent – BLACK MEDIA outlets have a social and moral obligation to our communities at large to NOT ONLY report entertainment but speak out, provide our communities with facts, investigations, and promote BLACK BUSINESSES to ensure our children, children have a bridge to cross – written, audio, and video content is all recording OUR TODAY which will be history stored for our children to learn from.
