Cordell Broadus, son of rapper Snoop Dogg, has been named the new Creative Director of Doge Dash, an NFT game project that launched on December 4, 2021. Broadus will be working alongside Paul Caslin, Grammy-nominated producer and the brainchild behind Doge Dash.

Doge Dash is the world’s very first crypto gaming app. To describe it in simple terms, Doge Dash is a Super Mario Run-inspired game where players collect coins while playing and making contributions to the in-game ecosystem. The coins that players accumulate can be transferred directly to their crypto wallet, which translates into usable currency. This style of gaming is called “play-2-earn,” or P2E.

As the Creative Director of Doge Dash, 24-year-old Broadus, a former college football player for UCLA, will be tasked with overseeing the brand and artistic framework of the app. Together, Broadus and Caslin strive to make the world of crypto a little less exclusive, and a little more enjoyable for a younger demographic, particularly inner-city youth. Hopefully, one byproduct of this is to give that circle of disadvantaged youth an opportunity to build generational wealth that they would not otherwise have.

The ultimate goal is for the Doge Dash brand to become a household name, which they aim to achieve with a series of NFTs, merchandise, and other gaming projects.

While speaking with Black Enterprise, Caslin said of Broadus, “I know talent when I see it, and Cordell ticks all the boxes: young, dynamic, creative, and above all else talented. I do not doubt that Cordell will help shape the future of NFTs and crypto gaming culture. We are delighted to welcome him to the Doge Dash family.”

Doge Dash is far from being Broadus’ first foray into the world of NFTs. Since leaving college football, Cordell has released a number of sold-out NFTs, and owns at least three (one Bored Ape and two Mutant Apes). On Christmas Day 2021, Broadus and his family helped promote Doge Dash during the Nets v. Lakers game at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (formerly known as the Staples Center).

As an entrepreneur who is no stranger to the entertainment industry, Broadus stands to be a strong contribution to the team at Doge Dash. As the first app of its kind, Doge Dash will be an interesting project to follow the development of. You can download Doge Dash for iOS or Android.
