Telfar Clemens, a 36-year-old American-Liberian designer, was raised in the Queen’s neighborhood of Lefrak City. And, he is the brains behind Telfar. An excitingly genderless fashion label Telfar.

Telfar is based in the Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. A brand that started because of a monogram idea, which resonated with Clemens.

Although, he is queer, it doesn’t stop his money or passion. Most importantly, Telfar continues to make allies all over the world.

Radboy, a fashion designer, had become Telfar’s partner and creative director in 2013. With that, the two men have enjoyed years of success and are featured on several major projects.

Collaborations:

In May 2017, he collaborated with the likes of musician Solange Knowles. Solange used Clemens to design the outfits for her video dancers.

In 2020, collaboration between Clemens and the Gap was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, it didn’t stop him from other future endeavors.

Clemens launched a line of durags in 2020, for instance. Shortly after, boots brand UGG had become one of Clemens major collaborative efforts in 2021.
