Black History Month is upon us as we pay tribute to the generations of our African American Ancestors who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship and Civil Rights in America. Black History Month is celebrated all across the country in educational institutions, centers of Black culture, and community centers that are both great and small.
It is always important to make sure we pay homage to all the powerful events and people that came before us who helped shape our culture and fought for the rights and freedoms that we have today. By doing this, It allows people to learn more about systemic racism and how our country faced backlash to civil rights activism.
